think anyone entering our room would need a Hazmat suit it was so bad. I had to travel home 4 hours barely able to walk through the airport and praying every step of the way. We loaded up on immodium and completely dehydrated ourselves for the flight. I was sick before and after but not during thank you God. I've been so sick since and still unable to hold down fluids. Going on day 4 I'm so over this. My daughters never got sick they also had a different room. I've lost a dress size so not all bad

bathroom floor. I was with two friends and was the only one that got sick. I was deathly Sick. I was staying in a different building than they were and called the one girl at 4 in the morning out of desperation as I was vomiting and had diarrhea so bad I couldn’t stand. She came from her building and called a cart to take me to where they had what they referred to as a doctor. It was a room with no bathroom. I was on the floor throwing up in a garbage can and shaking violently. I asked for a blanket and they gave me a wet towel from under the air conditioner. She ( the pretend doctor ) gave me something but I was throwing up so violently. I knew I had to go to the hospital. My friend called a taxi but it never came and I finally just told them to call an ambulance. I went to the hospital in an ambulance. I got IV and two types of medicine. I have no idea what it was but they put it in my IV and the doctor said he thought with that I could make it back to the States. I was flying home that day and I was in a different airline than they were so I was alone. At ten am I took a taxi from the hospital to the resort. I had called my friend and the hotel allowed her to pack my things. I then took a shuttle to the airport. I don’t know how I even survived. It was a blistering 97 degrees and on a Saturday. I had extra tsa screening. I was barely standing. They brought me a chair on the jet bridge and kept asking if I was going to be able to go on the flight but I knew I had to get back to the states. It was by the Grace of god I made it home. On my layover in atlanta I literally couldn’t even stand in line to get a drink. I slept on the chairs. When I got back to Pennsylvania my daughter had to take me to the emergency room again where they gave me Morphene and Bactrim and promethazine and several things for diarrhea. I was off work for over a week. I still don’t know how I made it home but I still don’t feel like my body has recovered. I literally thought I was going to die in the DR. I didn’t realize that so many other people were also very sick at the same time and same resort. I was just reading an article that said there were ten reported falling Ill in 2018 and I decided I should share my story as I was also there in 2018. As a side note. I was 58 years old and hadn’t even had a doctor for 43 years. I was always the picture of health. Since then I have never felt like I fully recovered. If there’s any doubt to my account of what happened I have witnesses and the hospital and ambulance bills from the Dominican and from here when I returned home.

pain and terrible headaches (only getting worse). We believe it’s either food poisoning from the buffet or somehow got contaminated water. We had to stay in the room for 2 days now. We don’t trust the healthcare system here anyway so we’ll see a doctor back home. I am only hoping my partner is ok to travel home. What a waste of time and money. Crazy. Wondering if anyone is the same.

was a grade of food I’d label as below standard for hunan consumption. It tasted off right from the get. The breakfast the next morning was someho worse. The staff was almost entirely unhelpful to the point of being openly rude when asked politely with respect for bare necessities like toilet paper. Toilet paper at this time was like gold for me. I spent most of my time on this paradise island staring at the bathroom wall, the way I am now as I type this, at homer,,,,,,4 days later. This resort has had me sick for over a week, and it feels intentional. I have more to say and will be doing so but I’ll leave it here for now

go in our swim up pool, he went to jump into some of the other swim up pools and got into an argument with another guest. My husband did not speak Spanish, the other guest did. Next thing we know hotel security asked him to come with them. He went thinking they would resolve the issue. The police were waiting for him at the front desk and they had him arrested. Meanwhile I’m in the room getting ready thinking he went to fill out an incident report with security. I finally went looking for him. At which time they informed me he was arrested.
They then told us we were not welcome back to the property meaning we lost out on 4 nights of our trip with no refund. They wouldn’t let me talk to husband they simply hauled him off and had him arrested while the other party who initiated the conflict was free to go.
I went to the jail by myself at almost midnight. They wouldn’t let me see him. I refused to leave. When they finally did he was vomiting and sweating profusely. He said he felt as if something he drank at the pool had poisoned him. He continued vomiting all through the night into the next day. We are frequent drinkers and I have NEVER seen him like this. When I went back to see him he was so weak he would barely walk.
At the corrupt jail he was held with no charges and for 24 hours and only released when we agreed to pay one of the court’s corrupt attorney’s $1000.
At the jail we ran into 2 Canadian couples and an Argentinian girl going through the same thing. Be very careful, it seemed like a scheme everyone was in on.
Once we heard how others had gotten poisoned it all made sense. There is some shady stuff going on here. | Symptoms: Diarrhea, Nausea, Vomiting, Weakness, Sweating
