On 3SEP22, we each ordered a salad and sandwich from here. Within minutes of finishing our salads, we were both in the restroom experiencing diarrhea and mild cramping. Almost 12 hours later, the symptoms have persisted.  | Symptoms: Diarrhea, Cramps

The Chesapeake Health Department along with the staff at Grassfield Elementary School are investigating stomach illness (suspect norovirus) in the elementary school. officials said the infection for this type of illness usually lasts one to two days.

The Chesapeake Health District sent out a statement to Grassfield parents on Thursday saying that an investigation has been launched to find the possible source and prevent further spread. According to the news, the investigation did not interrupt regular school operations.

Norovirus is very contagious and is easily transmitted from person to person most through the oral/fecal route. Considering that hand sanitizer does NOT work against this virus, it is important to wash your hands with soap frequently. Use bleach to clean and disinfect surfaces.

In case you experience vomiting, diarrhea, and nausea, report it now. It can help to detect & resolve outbreaks early and prevent others from being harmed, and it enables better surveillance.

I ate lucky charms and had nausea, diarrhea, severe cramps. I was out of work for 3 days because I could hardly move, the cramps were so painful. I had bad gas for about 7 days after that, it had almost a chemical type smell (sorry, gross). It took almost 10 days to feel better.  | Symptoms: Nausea, Diarrhea, Cramps, Gas
