Whether purchased from a restaurant or cooked at home, chicken nuggets can cause food poisoning. The biggest risk comes from undercooked chicken nuggets. Restaurants can unknowingly serve them raw and home cooks could easily assume they are precooked creating a risk of salmonella food poisoning.

Today, from KFC at 294 W Granada Blvd Ormond Beach, FL  32174 United States Chicken nuggets. My 8 year old son became violently ill within an hour of eating his chicken nuggets. All my son has eaten today was cereal and an apple for breakfast, a peanut... See More butter and banana sandwich on toast (all made from home), and then KFC for dinner. We’ve been eating the things prepared from home all week without issue, but within an hour of eating KFC’s chicken nuggets he started complaining of stomach pain. I brought him into bed, gave him anti nausea medicine and he fell asleep. He has woken up multiple times vomiting, and the anti nausea medicine is prescription and works for everything except food poisoning. He’s sweating profusely, passing gas, and vomiting/having diarrhea simultaneously. | Symptoms: Diarrhea, Nausea, Vomiting, Sweating, Stomach Pain, Gas See Less

My kids had a happy meal with chicken nuggets & a small cheese burger. My son is throwing up all of it & not even 15 mins after we left the Mc Donald’s. He didn’t finish his meal as he said he wouldn’t want to eat Mc... See More Donald’s in the future as it doesn’t really taste that good after all.
I suspect he already must have felt something. My daughter didn’t have to throw up but ate very little of it. Had 1 bite of the cheeseburger & said she didn’t want to eat it anymore.
Probably thankfully she didn’t… | Symptoms: Diarrhea, Vomiting
