Ate a migas and steak taco here with some avocado cream salsa on Monday afternoon 4/15 and felt sick a couple hours later. I’ve been concerned a little bit about their food safety lately (not super well kept kitchens, sauces are left outside at room temperature in … See More
coolers outside for too long, etc.). Meat didn’t seem to be served at the appropriate temperature. Wouldn’t be surprised if there’s some cross contamination happening as well underneath the owners noses. The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food (MAPAQ), in collaboration with Nordest Butchery, has issued a recall for several of their products due to undeclared allergens. routine inspections by MAPAQ. The products were sold at Nordest Butchery, its boutique at the Jean-Talon market located at 7070 Henri Julien Avenue, Montreal, QC, Canada, and potentially through the Lufa Farms website. No allergic reactions have been reported to date.

The recalled products include "Honey and Garlic Chicken Wings" (containing soy), "Korean Style Marinade Beef Strips" and "Korean Style Marinade Chicken Strips" (containing sulphites), and "Meatloaf" (potentially containing soy, peanuts, and tree nuts). These items were sold in unitary format, and all batches lacking allergen information are subject to recall. The products were vacuum-packed in transparent plastic pouches and sold frozen.

Do not consume recalled products that you are allergic or sensitive to, as they may cause a serious or life-threatening reaction; and do not serve, use, sell or distribute recalled products. We recommend returning it to the store where it was purchased.

In case you experience harm from allergens or undeclared ingredients, it is important to report it. It can help to detect & resolve issues and prevent others from being harmed, and it enables better surveillance. If symptoms persist, seek medical care.
